Apocryph – Old-school fantasy first-person shooter, whose action takes place in a brutal dark-fantasy world. She draws inspiration from old school fantasy shooters such as Hexen, Heretic, Painkiller and Strife.

The world of Apocryph is a dark, cruel place in which there is a place of magic, dark rituals and dangers around every corner. Wherever you go, inexorable monsters, traps and locked doors will be waiting for you everywhere, and only you and your equipment will allow you to overcome difficulties. You control the Arbitrator, once a person of high rank in the Xilayi religious hierarchy. Xilay were unsurpassed magicians, blacksmiths and artisans, and were also known for their absolute unity. But all the worlds knew them for another reason – Xilayi worshiped Death itself. For centuries, they have raided other worlds, collecting souls for their terrible Lady.
The events preceding the game led to your exile, and now, many years later, you returned and found that the fortresses and lands of your people are inhabited only by demons and evil creatures. Why are you banished? What could have caused this invasion? It is time to get answers … and arrange a harvest for the demons, in the name of the Pale Lady.

Your character can own 9 different types of weapons with alternative shooting modes, which include melee weapons, spells, staffs and artifacts.
Things can help you in a difficult situation, potions can restore your health, mana sources – to replenish ammunition, combat items can cause damage to the enemy.
There are also more rare relics, such as the Mask of the Kill, which puts you in almost indestructible armor, allows you to destroy the opponent with your bare hands and send powerful shock waves along the walls and floor, or the Reaper Essence, which turns the hero into the avatar of Death itself, accelerating you , giving wings for a double jump and a terrifying braid that will cut and destroy any opponent.
Some weapons and objects can stun the enemy, freeze it, damage the area, or even provide protection.
The game uses an advanced system of finishing. A powerful blow can tear off a piece from the enemy, while too much damage will blow the opponent into pieces, flying around the area and sticking to the walls.
